Feed Your Stereo: Marcel Dettmann - Landscape

Following his bleeped up banger ‘Deluge/Duel’ for Modelselektor’s 50 Weapons Imprint last December, Marcel Dettmann’s next release for sees the Berlin producer grinding down the pace of his usual groove this time for Belgium’s Music Man Records imprint. Title track ‘Landscape’ sees a decisive change of tone for the MDR man in this spellbinding track where concrete tones emerge into steely cool funk hooked by a soft female vocal. On the flip Answer Code Request are on remix duty – who are they? you might ask, well that’s still much of a mystery but they are affiliates of Dettmann who also appeared on his celebrated ‘Conducted’ compilation also released on Music Man last year.

The label have put up the release to preview on their Soundcloud for all to sample and it’s also a great way for us to announce the next visit to Farringdon for the prolific producer on the 18th of February where he’ll be joined in Room Two by Ben Sims and Craig Richards.
